Any recommendation ';free from animal test'; skin care & cosmetic products?

I know Dermologica is free from animal test, but I don't see much results by using the product. I'm using a few other companies skin care product but my enquiry emails about animal test never gets reply. Any other recommendation?

I'm afraid to see something like this:

Try to use natural handmade glycerin soap (bar) over cheap commercial brands. I personally use Lifeworks handmade Soaps. Here is the reason why:

Glycerin

One of the most important differences between handmade soap and commercial soap is Glycerin, a humectant, meaning it attracts and holds moisture to your skin. Glycerin is a natural by-product of the soap making process, and while commercial manufacturers remove the glycerin for use in their more profitable lotions and creams, Lifeworks handmade soap retains glycerin in each and every bar.

Oils

While most commercial soaps contain animal fats to keep production costs low, Lifeworks soaps do not. Our soap is made from high quality vegetable oils along with other exotic oil blends. We don't and never will use any animal by products in the makings of our soap. Not only for the love of animals, but also for the dignity of our customers skin. Who wants to bath themselves in lard?

Chemicals

After the use of cheap animal fats, and extracting all the glycerin out, commercial soaps are forced to fill in the gaps with chemicals. Cleansers, detergents, stabilizers, and other harsh additives. Detergents are great for dishes and clothes, not for your skin. These chemicals and the lack of glycerin mean that the soap often irritates, drys, and wrinkles people's skin or causes allergic reactions.

I find Lifeworks soap to be relitively cheap considering they last 5 times longer then a regular commercial bar, and they also contain glycerin. So you save more money by not having to buy expensive lotions and creams to fix the damage commercial soap causes in the first place.

Is skin tag removal considered cosmetic with tri-care prime? active duty spouse?

If you have a surgeon (I do cuz I had breast cancer) call him and he will burn them off in the office. They will know if it's covered by your medical. I have some too, inherited them from my granny. Is skin tag removal considered cosmetic with tri-care prime? active duty spouse?
Have you contacted your carrier to ask them directly? After all, they're the ones who know the answer.

  • I have this idea on how to make care of one's skin easier. How am I to approach cosmetic companies & offer it?

Have you ever ';invented'; something that you think might make people's life easier %26amp; done something about it? Please share your experience - I'm a complete dilletant :) My idea is a very simple thing yet there might be someone out there waiting for exactly this kind of innovation...only how am I going to discover that someone?I have this idea on how to make care of one's skin easier. How am I to approach cosmetic companies %26amp; offer it?
First and foremost, PATENT your product. In that way, legally, you can sue any company who rejects you but steals your idea and makes a lot of money out of your hard work. B*st*rds!

Make a list of the cosmetics companies you're interested to present your idea to (from the best to the worst companies) and approach the best company first. Your presentation must be impressive, to the point and brief (and it shouldn't contain the secret of your product because that is only disclosed when contracts are signed).

Of course, prepare mentally for rejection and don't give up. If your idea will help us to be more beautiful and is safe, I don't see why you shouldn't market it to the world!

By the way, don't tell us what it is here - someone could steal your idea. All the best!

Hi,I want to know which cosmetic line is better for skin care.I'm allergic to clinique.I want to try lancome ?

Hi, my favorite skin care line such as foundation would have to be bare minerals It has spf 15 in it and it gives you skin a beutiful flaless look go to www.bare minerals.com to but the starter kit.Hi,I want to know which cosmetic line is better for skin care.I'm allergic to clinique.I want to try lancome ?
If you read this, you don't need to buy expensive skin care lines, and they will likely make you break out. You need non-comodogenic hypo-allergenic irritant-free skin care. The best that I know of is Cetaphil (which gets rave reviews by dermatologists and customers). It has really helped my skin. Report Abuse
Hi,I want to know which cosmetic line is better for skin care.I'm allergic to clinique.I want to try lancome ?
There must be something in your Clinique products that's giving you a reaction, and the same stuff could be in Lancome. You'll have to take your time and compare ingredients in each brand before purchasing a whole line. You know how much cosmetic products cost now, especially if you're not talking about the Walgreen's special! lol

I have had really good experiences w/ Borghese %26amp; also w/ Sephora cosmetics. From what I hear though, the Bare Minerals line is probably as about as natural as you can get. Chanel is another really nice product line.

When shopping be sure you get someone behind the counter who really knows what they're talking about. Don't be taken in by creative sales pitches %26amp; free gifts. Ask the rep about ';sensitive skin'; products from each line that you browse.

    Best wishes, gorgeous!! :)
Many people have reactions to ingredients such as fragrance, sunscreens, or certain dyes. If you can pinpiont exactly what you are reacting to, choosing cosmetics will be an easier task. The best thing to do would be to go to a dermatologist and get an allergy test. If that's not an option, you can do a patch test by applyig the product to a small area of skin, and wait a few hours to see if you have a reaction. Good luck!
You're not allergic to the brand, you're allergic to an ingredient. If you provide more information on exactly what you were allergic to, maybe people can help.
If you are allergic to clinique then lancome will be worse. Clinique is one the only lines i know that is hypo allergenic. Lancome is great but they add more perfumes and dyes than clinique for sure. I would try biotherm or aveda.
Hi, I love Loreal so I would try that even though it's expensive. I would also try Mary K. Okay well I hope that hepls.
I kow of a really good make up line. its sold in my salon. its called glo minerals. once u put this make up on u can't even feel like its on ur face.its pharmacitical make up meaning its not a make up u can buy at a department store.they do have a web site glominerals.com

    you should try shiseido
You might wanna find out the ingredient in Clinique that causes you to have this allergic reaction, it's not the brand you're allergic to, it's what in the product.

Almay is a range of make up that is hypo allergenic, you may want to try that.
that might work for you. try talking to a dermatologist, they can recommend some products that you might not be alergic to... they also provide special make-up sometimes that is for sensative skin.
i am allergic to clinique as well. Try mineral makeup line coz it's all natural ingredients and works perfectly on sensitive skin. the best i've tried so far is everyday minerals. you can call it a ';skin care'; product because it does not contain any harsh chemicals, and thus will not cause skin aging, irritation and acne problems. even if you don't completely remove it, it'll still be fine. and it's not pricey, either. they give out free samples for first time customer. you only have to pay shipping and the shipping cost is very reasonable, too.
Try Almay, Lancome adds fragrance and that is a #1 reason for allergic reactions. I agree that you are probably sensitive to some specific ingredient though. I work for Clinique and they are a great co. for sensitive skin types ( I also used to work for Lancome ). Good luck!

I'm 27, never took care of my skin, tomboy, but I bought MAC cosmetics recently and was wondering what?

skincare products should I use that is cheaper than MAC, skincare that I would use everyday like facial wash, sunblock, moisturizer, toner, mask, exfoliator and at night some type of cream to avoid wrinkles, and I am not sure if I need any of these stuff, please help I was just using the shower water to clean my face(no soap) at all, nothing, I'm clueless, but would like to be more girly nowI'm 27, never took care of my skin, tomboy, but I bought MAC cosmetics recently and was wondering what?
Hello, i'm 21 and have been using make up and creams since a very early age. i have experimented with alot of products and it is cruical for me to have the basics if i cant afford top dollar items.

MAC is one of the most expensive skin care products and its a wonder you werent turn off buy the price! a face wash that you can use in the shower would be a daily face wash such as Clean and Clear you can purchase a 3 pack which has your cleanse, toner and moisturers - which is done in that order and can be used daily.

You can use an exfoliator such as Nivea Visage exfoliating scrub which kills all the dead skin cells and makes youre face as soft as anything ONCE every 2 weeks.

Priceline is my personal shop for perosnal items from creams to make up to sunblock etc they are really helpful their and some employees actually have qualification standards for helping people like you self find the best skin care for you personal skin type.

i'll give you a quick run down:

    - Cleanser, toner and Moisturer - used daily in that order

    - anti wrinkle creams - best in morning or night only

    - masks - one a month only

    - exfoliator - once every 2 weeks

    - sunblock- everyday pro long wrinkles and protects your skin, always buy SPF 30 + some cream come with sunscreen already in them

    - tinted moisturers is my MUST HAVE ITEM - cheaps light coverage and sunscreen added such as dove comes in beige or honey colour. only $9 Australian.

Hope the above helps.... good luck..... and dont always go for the expensive brand i use a $15 dollar cream and it is a cheaper version of the $30 dollars cream u would use daily. GOOD LUCK!I'm 27, never took care of my skin, tomboy, but I bought MAC cosmetics recently and was wondering what?
I am with kelbel on this one! Try Mary Kay TimeWise Skin Care Products. Kelbel gave you a way to contact her in her answer. Never hurts to try it and try it for free! ~ :o)
Yes, although MAC is really, really good, it is also really expensive. Mary Kay has good skin care products, but they can get expensive also. I like Neutagena's facial products, they are pretty inexpensive and my skin looks great.
Mary Kay skin care has been voted #1 since 1993. You can request samples and try them to see if you like how they feel on your skin with no obligation to buy. I've been a consultant for 6 1/2 years. Let me know if I can help.
It really depends on your skin type. Do you have combination skin (oily in some parts and dry and flaky in others?) dry all around, or oily all around? How about activities...are you in the sun a lot or do exercises?

The best ';basics'; at this age ( and I'm around there) are sunblock (a high number, especially if you are in the sun a lot), moisturizer, gentle face wash, and a blemish killer. These are easy to get and usually returnable from the drugstore. Think about it: with makeup, you can spend thousands of dollars to make yourself look different. Your face is priceless... so maintain it.

Sunblock is important if you are in or out of the sun. Yes, we are all supposed to get some rays, but too much can prematurely wrinkle the skin and dry you out. You may never recover the damage that the sun has done (not to sound scary, but hey). If you are prone to blemishes and are using an acne medication, you are more sensitive to the sun. Neutragina is usually what I use since it's ultra sensitive to the skin. Look for one especially for the face or something that says it's oil free so it won't give you breakouts. I also use their face makeup and it's pretty good for me (since my skin is more sensitive). It's all relative to how your skin will react but Neutragina is a good start.

Moisturizer helps hydrate the skin. Basically, the chemicals in the moisturizer ';plump up'; the skin and so wha-la less wrinkles. So if you apply it daily, you will keep your skin relatively taunt. You might have a question about ';day'; and ';night'; creams. Night creams don't usually have SPF and they are heavier (more creamy). Day creams are meant to go under makeup so they are lighter and start at 15 SPF. Eye creams are a different formula, because the skin is thinner under your eyes. Start off with an all over one. Something oil-free from Oil of Olay is good.

';Gentle'; face wash is something important. I am suggesting ';gentle'; ( like something from Biore or Neutragina) simply because I don't know your skin type. Something that has a level of Salicylic Acid (2% is the norm) is better especially if you are prone to breakouts. Your skin is not shedding it's cells like it used to so it's good to look into an exfoliate (or use a warm washcloth when washing your face) I have found that St. Ides has a exfoliating face wash that is really good though it's not great for everyday because it can get rough (crushed apricot pits).

Now and then eruptions occur. Benzoyl Peroxide is the best as far as killing the bacteria. It will dry your skin out with overuse (or at least the area you apply it to) Also, sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen, while you are using it.

Lastly...Bianca Jagger said it best: ';Never go to bed with your makeup on!'; I might be drunker than a skunk or crazy tired but the only thing that's important (other than my teeth) is my face. It really takes only five minutes to wash and prep your face. Consider this too: if you are ';in the moment';...ahem...the next morning, you wouldn't want to wake up looking like you got run over. Exercising with makeup can make breakouts too, so think about just covering your blemishes.

Any other specifics should be handled by an esthetician or a dermatologist. Other fun stuff, like new makeup, techniques and treatments, are found in Allure magazine (The Best Magazine Ever!!!). Enjoy yourself and be girly (as much as you can stand). No one else will treat you as good as yourself. Good Luck
    Hi Nina,

Hey! I was a tomboy too! I have recently started to apply make-up (coz I didn't before and I didn't know how!)

I love L'Oreal, and trust me, they have the best of everything that you could possibly need to keep your skin feeling clean, moisturized, and radiant. I have tried most of their day-to-day products, but I haven't tried their wrinkle cream. I don't think you need one now, perhaps you feel so because the fine lines are coming in now. Try Pond's anti-wrinkle eye cream. It does wonders for the delicate skin around your eyes.

    Good luck!
MAC is great but def costly. I like apricot scrub, u can get it at walmart. I also like neutrogena.
    I actually like the Clean%26amp;Clear line of facial cleansers myself, being a young woman of color with combo skin I found that the facial scrub %26amp; the cream cleanser makes my face feel soft smooth %26amp; non-dry...But, as an added backup esp. if leaving the house right after cleansing/scrubbing I use all natural Shea Butter{farmers market on crenshaw%26amp;slauson every saturday L.A. area} it makes my skin feel moisturized %26amp; smooth all day long and well into the night sometimes the naxt day also after I cleanse....{Just make sure its really all natural Shea Butter straight from the Shea Nut; the color should be a creamy yellow with a small hint of caramel/otherwise it's natural Shea Butter plus somthing else which doesn't work the same} TRust me if you needed all of those products it wouldn't have taken you 27 years to figure it out, hope I helped a little bit{considering I might still have some work to do I'm only 23}
I just want to scream CLINIQUE to you from CT! :) I can't say enough about all there products...there yellow mild soap bar, 7 day scrub and there yellow moistuiser...Go to the mall to Macy's and have them look at your skin and tell you. They have all the products you are looking for!!! Do not just use water, that will never get your face clean. It's ok your learning! :) no sweat!..that's why we're here! :) Also if you have mild acne I would suggest the Proactiv 3 piece set, I do not have any acne but I use it often. Look at Clinique, if that is not in your budget look at your local drug store for the 3 step by ALMAY! I have hear a good word about that also! :) I won't use any MAC skincare except makeup remover. That is just me. It also depends on your skin type, oily, combo...that is why I would go to macy's or a place like that in the mall and have someone show you. :) GOOD LUCK!
You should try at least 3 types of any skin products. You can be allergic to some brands, so it's best to do a trial and error.

For facial wash, try Neutrogena, Clearasil, and Clean %26amp; Clear. Right now I use clearasil but all 3 works for me w/o

    allergy reactions.

For sunblock, I never used anything than Banana Boat b/c it's available everywhere. make sure you get at Least spf-30 (the higher #, the better).

For moisturizer/lotion, I use Aveeno. It's a daily firming moisturizing lotion, hypoallergenic, and it smells really good too. Since ur only 27, don't use any of that ';wrinkle'; products etc... You don't need it yet, just eat alot of vegetables and try not to be too stressed in life.

All of them are affordable so you should try them :)

*Clinique, Mac, and Mary Kay products are expensive, but they also work great.

    .
oriflames and Aroma magics products are really very good.. dey are better than dis Mac and oder company's pro . they are available for each and every type of skin
I can appreciate that sometimes money is a factor in dealing with things like makeup, haircare and skin care...but trust me if there's one area you don't want to skimp in: its skincare. I mean...makeup only does the trick for so long...at the end of the day (or say...when you're 60) you want GOOD skin! I use MAC moisturizer, Studiocream, but for cleanser I use Cetaphil. My dermatologist told me to use it when I was about 8 (I've had a hard time with my skin since I was a little girl) and I've been using it ever since. Try it..I mean you'll be out what..$8...if you hate it?! But if you can, don't go cheap when it comes to skin care...your skin will thank you much later on down the line!
    MAC is the best
clinique three step. once you get the products they last for awhile.
l'oreal works good for me. i have relatively dry skin and i use their products such as the night cream and the sunblock. oh and their facial wash, too. ponds is much cheaper and works for those with oilier skin bec it's stronger than l'oreal. whatever you choose to use, make sure you do a skin test first to see if you're allergic to the product
It depends on your skin type. There is oily (experiencing shine all over the face), normal/combo (shine on nose, forehead and sometimes chin (t-zone) and skin feels tight after washing), dry (no shine at all, flakiness) or sensitive (stinging and redness on the face sometimes from using products). Let me know which is your skin type and I'll let you know which products to use. and if you are wondering about how to find out which products are best for you, I would recommend buying a makeup book like Instyle Getting Gorgeous and visiting Makeupalley.com

What are well-known cosmetic and skin care brands that do not use animal-derived ingredients?

Berts Bees is a completely natural, all organic brand of products...skin and hair care and cosmetics. Akins natural foods sells it, and many walgreens do now as well. Oh, also borders books. It is all completely natural, pure, clean, and actually healthy for your skin. Origins, usually in the mall or dillards, and The Body Shop both make great products that use no animal derived ingredients, the only difference is that these products are not all natural ingredients. There are also other brands of all natural organic products you can browse is any major natural foods/health store. Akins Natural Foods has a return policy on everything, you don't like it, it didn't work, you were allergic, doesn't matter, they'll take it back. For all you people at the skin care, and cosmetic section, don't you get annoyed by aggressive cosmeticians?

For guys shopping for your gals, and gals shopping for yourselves, ever notice whenever you go to the cosmetic section and/or skin care section some cosmetician who is more than '; eager '; to help you, is rather persistent even after you told her

'; No thank you, I'm fine.'; She then tells you what you picked isn't that good, and tries to get you to buy the most expensive product.

I remember 2 years ago when Pantene had released there Expressions line.

ShoppersDrugMart had put the them on sale as a promotion, I went down looking for Pantene Brunette Expressions, this cosmetician who was such a greedy, money grubbing b-tch asked me if I needed help, and I said I was looking for Pantene Brunette Expressions, which was on sale for $7.99, size 384 ml for the shampoo and 400ml for the conditioner she lied and said this store never recieved it and tried to get to buy John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette for $10.99 size 250ml.

Jenbeauty or JenBjuti Cosmetic, Skin Care, Body Care Products...?

A few years ago, I've tried JenBeauty/JenBjuti's (JB) dead sea mud mask, which they later named as J.B. Element. The mask worked wonder for me in improving my complexion and acne. I stopped after I finished the one jar because the price was too high. Compared to other dead sea mud masks, which range between $20-60, JB Element cost $99. It makes me wonder where they get their supply. All their skin care products are overpriced, even compared to the leading brands.

    My questions:

    1) Has anyone tried any of JB's product? If yes, how did it work for you and what did you try?

    2) Does anyone know where they get their supply? If yes, where?

    3) Does anyone know of any other skin care product that may help improve complexion/acne? If yes, what are they?

    4) Does anyone know of any other good dead sea mud mask? If yes, what is the brand?

Make your resume as detailed as possible, paying special attention to jobs you have had that you feel like will relate to the job you are wanting.

And of course, since you are wanting a job with a company selling beauty or haircare products, you want to make sure your makeup and hair look absolutely impeccable. Dress business-casual...pant suit, dress, sweater/skirt, shirt/khakis...just something that looks very neat and somewhat professional.

Aside from that, just be very open and friendly with whoever you submit your resume to, and any other employees you may run into while you are there. What's the way to get an interview for a Hair care, Skin Care, Or Cosmetic copmany as an Account Executive?
you really need to know your stuff. when posting your resume, if it is applicable, state what a good job you've done with dealing with your last employers expenses, payroll, budgeting, and cost analysis. if you don't have any real experience, just state how good you would be at managing these things.

  • Any raves about any products from the ';Mary Kay'; cosmetic/skin care line?

I want to know what are some products customers like from this line. If any lipsticks, glosses, liners, etc..., what are your favorite colors? What are you most likely to repurchase from them?Any raves about any products from the ';Mary Kay'; cosmetic/skin care line?
I'm bias as a consultant I had to respond because that is the only reason I sell it. I feel in love with the skin care and wanted the discount. I have been building my Mary Kay business for 3 years now while raising my children.

I LOVE the skin care which includes the foundation. I like how well the foundation wears and does not come off on clothing when you hug someone or on your collar.

I love the Ultimate mascara. There are so many products I love the eye and lip primers are staples and the new lip crayons stay on real well. I like that the lip glosses are not sticky and are moisturizing. The sugar scrubs are very mositurizing and leave you feeling soft and smell good too. Lastly the Satin hands and lips great products and great gifts. They are my #1 seller.Any raves about any products from the ';Mary Kay'; cosmetic/skin care line?
I like the 'Time Wise' products, although I don't currently use all of them. I use the 'Oil-free Hydrating Gel' for a moisturizer. I think the makeup is very durable. The eye shadow has major staying power along with the nail polish. I love the lipstick. Two of my favorites are 'Raisinberry' and 'Gingerbread.' I think the Gingerbread was a limited edition for a holiday season, so I'm not sure if it is still available. I just checked the website a few days ago, and there seem to be a lot of new promising products that I can wait to try.
ALL THE RAVES!!!!!! Check it out for yourself!!

I tend to use colors from other lines, but their liquid foundation in a tube is well worth the money, as is their loose powder. I use the beige family. Their concealer in the silver tube is THE BEST! I keep those stocked on my vanity table. They mix in naturally and look like you are not wearing makeup! When you try on, make sure you look at yourself outside in the natural light, that will tell you if the color is right.
i LOVE the marykay line...I love the eyeshadow called currant craze. it is sooo pretty on dark brown eyes and espresso eyeliner and mascara. well dark brown. i love the brown sugar colored lipgloss and some of the peachy ones. the eyeshadow pairs great with a plum lipstick covered by gloss but it is more of a wintery combo. If you are pale skinned, u could use the pinky peachy lipglosses and brighter eyeshadows, but u need a darker brown gloss if ur tan...

hope this helps.;..oh and the velocity line is great for teenage/ young adult ladies,...
i love everything from them! but always go for the suttle colors- foundation, lip stuff, eyeshadow
Hi just to let you know iza gingerbread is still available. I to am a little bias because I sell Mary Kay. I love the Microdermabrasion I get instant results; it makes my skin soft and smooth. I also love the newest product Targeted Action Line Reducer, I am a skeptic and to find a product that does what it claims is rare; but with everything Mary Kay has to offer there hasn't been one thing that I was not happy with.

I guess that is why they have been number ONE in the last 12 out of 13 years.

What's best for oily skin (e.g. skin care line: cleanser, day/night cream, cosmetics, facial masks, etc.)?

Ladies, I REALLY do need your help. For those of you who have or have experienced oily skin, please share your experiences with me. My skin is not very ';obedient.'; When I apply my make-up, it would stay fine and smooth longer at night than it would during the day. Especially on summer days (at noon) I have to repeatedly re-apply loose powder to keep the sides of my nose from being so ';messy'; and ';oily';. Those who have oily skin would know how I really feel now. Please help me, ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any good and effective ways from your own experiences would greatly help me!! I would enternally appreciate any of your help!! Please, again! What's best for oily skin (e.g. skin care line: cleanser, day/night cream, cosmetics, facial masks, etc.)?
I have oily skin too and I love Artistry products.

If you live in Canada or the United States, you can order it online at http://wduever.qhealthbeauty.com...What's best for oily skin (e.g. skin care line: cleanser, day/night cream, cosmetics, facial masks, etc.)?
for oily skin, you can find a lot of good products from the dhc line. this article reviews a bunch of them and will give you a good idea what to consider:

    http://www.associatedcontent.com/article…
Sounds like you have some oil control challenges with your skin...a good make-up and powder are key, but it starts before you even put your make-up on. You would benefit from using an oil controlling cleanser/toner/moisturizing system. What most people with oliy skin don't realize is that your skin needs two types of hydration to be balanced...';water and oil';. When you deprive your skin of the ';water';, your sebum (oil) production kicks up to try to balance the equation...but as most people know water and oil are two different things. So by using an appropriate system and giving your skin the ';water'; it needs, your skin will produce less oil and start to balance out and be easier to get under control. You are welcome to contact me or go to my website for more information: http://www.myjafra.com/mseibert
Wash your face every morning and night. Still isn't helping? Buy Neutrogena products such as their daily face scrub with invigorating microbeads. Still doesn't work? Go to a dermotoligist and ask if you can go on the medicine minisone which completely eliminates oily skin and pimples.
Try the source below. It discusses oily skin treatments.
YSL are the best and Chanel too....
I have the same problem and I agree completely! It's so irritating! I've recently started to use CoverGirl Oil Control Liquid Foundation (it doesn't have the greatest coverage though) and CoverGirl Stay Fresh Translucent Powder that comes in a silver compact. I've tried some other things but they haven't worked as well as this. I really hope I helped :)
I have the same problem and it sucks!! I just started using Maybelline Pure foundation. It is in a little blue squeeze tube, it is 50% water, it works well! My face still gets a little oily but not nearly as bad! I also use Avon Minerals makeup, sometime I use both but most of the time I just use to Avon makeup at night. I also sale Avon so I have a lot of it. lol

Is it true that using cosmetics (face and skin care stuff) in youth makes them less effective on you later in?

No that is untrue. However sometimes you may need to switch cosmetics to compensate for certain seasons of the year. But as far as working or not working later in life is a mythIs it true that using cosmetics (face and skin care stuff) in youth makes them less effective on you later in?
depends if you still take care with yr skin before and afte the use of makeup. this may better explain the usesIs it true that using cosmetics (face and skin care stuff) in youth makes them less effective on you later in?
putting cosmetics on your face / skin everyday will cause your skin to be dull and tired - which is why you have to remove your makeup every night before you go to bed or remove your makeup as soon as you get home - after removing makeup and washing your face, you have to moisturize your skin - if you do this everyday your skin will age much much slower

Would permanent cosmetics and high tech skin care be more ';green'; or Earth friendly than cosmetics?

That is a good way of looking at it. Yes, I imagine that if people use permanent makeup, there is less consumption in makeup.

Do you know any natural cosmetics and skin care that would not irritate eczema?

I'm 14 and have suffered with eczema everywhere even on my face since birth. I would like to be able to wear make-up and cover up the worst areas on my face and cover up spots that i get as well but when I wear foundation it seems to make it worse. I was wondering if it was the harsh chemicals in my make up that was irritating my face and I've been looking for a natural make up /skincare range but so much of the stuff out there claims to be organic but is still full of chemicals. Do you know of any that actually are 100% natural or any that you would recomend??? Please help me :(Do you know any natural cosmetics and skin care that would not irritate eczema?
Olive oil works well as a moisturizer, just a few drops cover face without being oily. And green tea works to calm skin down.

I don't know too many all natural makeup products. You could look for things with a high amount of zinc oxide (the stuff in diaper rash cream). It sounds crazy but it really helps irritated skin. Other than that I would say you should mix a few drops of foundation with moisturizer that doesn't irritate your skin. You'll be using less and hopefully will cover redness but still keep skin soft. I think mineral foundations will make your skin dry and itchy.Do you know any natural cosmetics and skin care that would not irritate eczema?
I know it's not make-up but, it tends to help me. Before I go to bed I put on a facial mask made of oat flour, powdered milk and water. I let it dry and then wash it off. It tends to help with itchiness and reduces redness.
Have you tried Bare Minerals mineral make up? It's great for sensitive skin. I'm sure you can google it and read about it. Also.... have you tried kukui oil on your skin? I am sure you have tried a million things.. but this stuff is AMAZING. Give it a try.... oilsofaloha.com is where I get it from. Get the non-scented kukui oil. It will nourish your skin, but won't leave you oily. It can fix a sunburn... cracked hands.... anything.... I had a small spot of eczema that is completely gone with the use of kukui oil.

  • If given 300 dollars on cosmetics and skin care products, what would you buy?

i have been pretty much low maintenance all my life. i don't use a cleanser for my face and I moisturize (rarely) with vaseline lotion. also, i don't wear makeup. but I need to meet someone and this routine of mine isn't helping. i have 300 dollars to spends on makeup, facial and body skin care products. i would like to know what you guys would buy if you had the money.

if it helps i am 22, female, light olive, combination skin...If given 300 dollars on cosmetics and skin care products, what would you buy?
The five things that I think you would be best off buying would be:

    1. A good facial cleanser and moisturizer. Since you have more combination skin, you want to look for an oil-free hydrator because it will be formulated for more oily skin, and you want to err on the side of oily skin when it comes to that (from personal experience, I know). I use the Patricia Wexler line, however you can do anything you want. If you were to do that, it would be $55.50 for the cleanser and moisturizer.

    2. A very intensive body cream. The unevenness in your skin can partially be caused by a lack of moisturization, so you want to look for a body cream that has a heavy formulation of shea butter-or, a jar of 100% shea butter. With that, you can set it by your heater or computer, and it melts the shea butter to be a more liquid consistency so that it goes on easier.

    3. Two good lipsticks. Since you don't wear makeup, I am suggesting you keep it very simple: have one lipstick that is more of an everyday colour, and then one that is a bit more of an evening colour. For the evening colour, you might like Estee Lauder's Passion Fruit lipstick, which is a glossy subdued red. For the daytime colour, your best bet would be to go to your local MAC counter, because they released a collection of Cremesheen lipsticks that would be right up your alley.

    4. A really good body scrub. Back to the uneven areas, my best bet would be I'm In The Mood For Scrub (available at Bath and Body Works). It's $20 for a huge jar, and it is the best thing I have ever used to get my skin buffed and looking great. Use this twice a week, making sure to use a lightweight lotion afterwards, and your skin will definitely look better and feel smooth.

    5. A good eye cream. The sooner you start on an eye cream, the longer you will be able to keep that area looking good-and once it starts to go downhill, it is tough to reverse the damage. Go to Sephora or ULTA, where they will be able to help you find a good undereye brightening cream.

Those are what I would consider the essentials, however I have a few other good things that I like:

Lancome Exfoliance Confort-it's a gentle facial scrub. Use it every night to get all the junk out of your pores! Occasionally, Lancome will do a GWP at deparment stores, where if you spend a certain amount then you get a cosmetic bag with small sizes, including an eyeshadow quad, lipstick, and mascara.

Vitamin C serum-amazing for brightening facial skin.If given 300 dollars on cosmetics and skin care products, what would you buy?

I need skin care & cosmetic home party ideas.?

Have your guests choose their own facials with very simple kitchen materials:

    TWO INGREDIENT RECIPES:

    Citrus Skin Remedy

You need lemon juice and orange juice. Mix the two juices together and apply all over your face in an upward and outward motion. Wash off after 10 minutes.

    Honey and Tomato Mask

ive never used those products, and i stil get people say i only look in my 30's.When im actually in my 40's.good eating and plenty of fluids is a must for us and a lil bit of nice sun too(not a lot).Im allergic to alot of soaps, products too,so nonallergenic products are helpful and lots more gentle anyway, even if you dont have reactions. Its wise to have someone do a makeup product chart,so you get a suitable makeup for your skin, and it will change over the years as you get older.Avoid the really cheapy-foriegn products-cheap is nasty..And have a daily excercise plan, nothing too dramatic.. cheers :)Do you think that anti-ageing skin care %26amp; cosmetic products are truly beneficial??

I use Oil of olay Night and day cream and yes I think it help Greatly.
yes they must work, but you have to keep it up... my sister years ago was in the sun daily, and she started to use all those products daily.not necessarly those real expensive ones ..and her skin turned real beautiful...but after a while she stopped using it ....so keeping it up is the secrete
At this point in my life I'll try anything the snake oil salesman peddles! Seriously, I both price shop and quality shop. Big questions: Does it work? Can I afford this? By trial and error I found several products that actually do make a difference. When I use them - I look great! Youthful, fewer lines, age spots disappear, skin tags fall off. When I don't use them - it all comes back. The product that worked best for me was actually very reasonably priced ($8 to $20 range) and can be easily got from the local drugstore. Aveeno.
Who knows. If anyone can afford it (male or female) I am very supportive of plastic surgery. I noticed that most people think when a person gets 66 years of age the bottom drops out, they are depressed, no energy, etc. I do not think age can account for a drop in energy from 100% to 05%. I've visited my physician, had a serious heart to heart and taken all blood tests he RX (all passed positively). I am already taking a very strong mega mega (term I use for a broad, very strong as indicated by on average 25-150 Mg. of each of B complex), Metal Flush, extra Vitamin A (25,000 IU/ day), have Hydrogen Peroxide and water nasal spray and NaCl and water nasal spray. The last has improved allergy symptoms and cleared the sinuses out. In two months I' ve already noticed a marked improvement (due to the aforementioned vitamin supplemen ts) in prior nightblindness, heels that were once thick and cracking and deep now OK and handcreme thereon DC'd, less brown on right elbow, entirely eliminated zinc spots on the my fingernails, reduced signs on exertion of early winded ness improved sleep, some improvement in blood pressure, etc. I have just found out B-12 like the fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, K is stored in the liver which means that once a deficien cy is made up it will be a long time until that deficiency recurrs since one does not have to supplement B-12 daily. I work nights and so I'm hardly ever out in the sun and you know what? I haven't aged in years!

My favorite products are a kitchen sponge, Vaseline petrol jelly and Olay Regenerist Serum. I tried a free sample of that stuff and it's really nice.

    Excellent question, by the way.
So far i think that it has helped!! My big thing was when my husband noticed that difference around my eyes!! My skin is defiantly glowing! i get people all the time lately telling me that!!
Yes, when used correctly, the products can do a great deal to make the appearance of aging less.

A cleansing cream with a buffing agent will remove the dry skin and dead skin, then you must replenish will a good moisturizer, and seal it so that it won't come off in the night as you sleep.

One of the things that ages people is flaky, papery skin, with good skin care, you can postpone many of these signs. The earlier you start, the better; but right now is a good time if you have never taken care of your skin.
I use several products. I just don't know if any one line can do it all. So, I give everyone a chance. I know they all do what they are supposed to do because I look much younger than I am. At least in the face, gravity has had it's way with the rest of me : )

I too have been searching for the same and was told

Australias is animal free, as is Arbre.

But I got on to google: products free from animal testing

and there is lots of sites,.

It makes me feel sick to think of the cruelty the animals have to go through, just for products for people.

    Good luck in your search.

Do they allow you to own skin care stuff or cosmetics in women's prison?

Me and my friend are having a little debate. She said Paris Hilton is going to have a rough time because they dont allow cosmectics or lotions or skin care stuff. you have to use what they have. But I dont see why they wouldn't allow you to have something as simple as face soap or lotions....Do they allow you to own skin care stuff or cosmetics in women's prison?
No you can't bring in anything that is liquid. Who's to say that that isn't some type of potential toxic liquid? (Think of the new security precautions when flying.)Do they allow you to own skin care stuff or cosmetics in women's prison?
    They do not.
Why would they? Who are you impressing when you are in prison? I'm sure there are prisons that would allow it though and some that wouldn't.
um...IT'S PRISON. They are strict and just because Paris is some so-dumb-it's-sad celebrity doesn't mean she should get special treatment.

Do you try to avoid using drugstore brand cosmetics and hair and skin care products?

Why?.Do you try to avoid using drugstore brand cosmetics and hair and skin care products?
    I find other products work better for some things. I buy Bare Minerals products on my face and eyes and use a mineral facial soap, plus department store facial moisturizer, however;

I use Maybelline eye makeup remover for waterproof mascara (cheap but mostly it actually works better for waterproof mascara than either Clinique or Mary Kay). I use drugstore brands of body wash (I actually prefer Clinique, but I go through far too much body wash to buy theirs), body moisturizer (money is the big factor here). I love drugstore lipstick as a rule, usually Revlon, L'Oreal, or Milani--and the reason why is I like their colors, although I do own a couple of Clinique lipsticks.

On the other hand, I use a blonde eyebrow pencil by Mary Kay because it is frankly the only one I can find light enough with the right consistency, but I have used Revlon lip liner for years for the same reason. I go with what works best as a rule. I don't think Revlon is any harsher than Clinique or Estee Lauder when it comes to lipstick. My main consideration is what works well for me and what colors work and if I can save money, so much the better.

I've used shampoo and hair products from the drugstore, like Paul Mitchell (which used to be only at salons) and John Frieda, but really prefer to get mine from the beauty supply or my hair stylist. I was formerly a hair stylist and I really do think they are better. I never found Clinique or department stores shampoos all that good since Pantene left department stores and started to sell junkier stuff at the drugstores. Pantene used to be the Cadillac of shampoos 25-30 years ago and was only sold at the better stores. My hair is thin and fine and I have to use a lot of product so I need all the help I can get.Do you try to avoid using drugstore brand cosmetics and hair and skin care products?
no some are rated higher and have better ingredients than expensive department store items.
yea i try to avoid drugstore brands... they just dont work as well for me usually......
No. You find awesome things in drugstores, like St.Ives products.
    SOMETIMES.

    TRY HOME REMEDIES
    Dear amanda,

There is recent evidence that DEA(diethanolamine) is a potent carcinogen found in many mainstream cosmetics and toiletries. It's a potentially cancer-causing ingredient which is readily absorbed through the skin.

With this in mind, I chose to reconsider all my beauty products hopping habits. So I shop natural. The site is www.ineways.com/givestar
i compare the ingredients. often, the name brands and generic brands are exactly the same, so i buy the generic for half the cost. works just the same

Organic cosmetics and skin care - Miessence, Sukin & Sanctum?

    Hi all!

I am looking at Miessence, Sanctum and Sukin to change from regular cosmetics and body care to organic! Although I know Miessence is purely certified organic, I can't quite figure out whether Sukin and Sanctum are.

Has anyone used any of these brands and if so, how did you know they were certified organic and were they any good??

    Thank you in advance!!

:)Organic cosmetics and skin care - Miessence, Sukin %26amp; Sanctum?
I have been using sukin night cream and i love it. I am a farmer and the weather takes a toll on my skin. So far the sukin has been the best. I do not know how organic it is but i love the natural ingredients. Good luck in your search.Organic cosmetics and skin care - Miessence, Sukin %26amp; Sanctum?
I do not believe Organic cosmetics as they are not able to contain preservation, you have to use it up in a month!!

I am starting a new e-commerce business in which customers will sign up for a membership, and pay a monthly fee ($15-$30 depending on what package they choose) and receive samples of luxury cosmetic brands, hair care brands, and skin care brands! I want as much feedback as I can get, and would LOVE if you could give me your thoughts (positive and negative accepted) as I understand everyone will have different opinions! Please tell me what you think, thank you so much!New Business: Luxury Cosmetics, Skin care, and Hair care SAMPLES! Please give me your feedback?
    Sounds like a good idea.....

    Go for it...

    Cosmetics/skin care...?

I work for a cosmetics/skin care company that requires me to preform at least 5 ';beauty breaks'; on customers a week. A beauty break is just a little pick-me-up for the customer...some of the breaks include a hand massage, a neck massage, an eye treatment, and a lip treatment. However, there is hardly any traffic in my store and the people that are in the store, don't really want to be bothered with these little breaks. Any ideas how to get people back to the counter so I can reach my goal?? What should I say?? (what I'm saying now isn't working!)Cosmetics/skin care...?
You can remind them in the middle of their treatment. This way you won't deal with the grumpiness that they may have when they first walk into the store.

Say something that just eases them into it like; you seem tense. A simple neck massage would do.

Don't talk too long or seem to gimmicky because a lot of people I know {including me) despise that. It seems like you're trying to just sell them something after they get this free treatment.

Just come off as nice, sweet, and that you actually care that they seem tense.....even if you probably don't.

Has anyone here used Aloette cosmetics and skin care?

    YES!!!

I have been using aloette for 13 years, I was introduced to it in grade 9. I love it its so good for your skin (all skin types) and the makeup is mineral based and vitamin infused.

I recently decided to become a consultant, it is so easy to sell something you truly love and beleive in.

Why do you ask? Have you tried aloette? Do you have any questions?

I am in the niagra region and am availible if you have any questions about our products or having a show (we have the best hostess benifits)

contact me through my e-mail its shannon_aloette@hotmail.com

I look forward to hearing from youHas anyone here used Aloette cosmetics and skin care?
I have been using Aloette Skin Care %26amp; Cosmetic products for 8 years. I had tried so many skin care systems that I was a bit apprehensive about going to the home party. I just figured I would be spending money on products that would end up in the drawer in my closet with all the other skin care that did not work. BUT I was so impressed with what the products did for the back of my hand, I purchased the Aloepure system that night.

I started to notice difference in my skin within the first 2 weeks. And in 5 weeks I was really amazed at the results I was seeing. 8 months or so later when I started to run out of some of the products instead of just figuring oh well, I actually replace them. This was a first for me. Never had I been impressed with anything enough to finish using it, let alone repurchase.

5 years ago I joined the company. I knew I would never use anything else on my face. It just seemed the smart thing to do.

    I have never regretted it!

Have you tried any of the products. I am a consultant in the North East. If there is anything at all I can help you with, whether to explain the products, get you your best deal on purchasing, or hostessing a show, to receive all our very generous hostess benefits (If you are in another area, I can set you in the right direction to find a consultant near to you), please just give me a holler.

Hey everyone I want to know good mac cosmetics skin care line is so give me feedback thank.?

MAC was never really made to be a 'skincare' line. They are more into the here and now with colors and glamour rather than the long term skincare lines. Hence the younger customers. They rely on their co-owned companies Clinque and Estee Lauder to pick up the slack of skincare and skin problems. MAC has a small line and I have used most of it over the years. But now that I have crossed the line of 30... I wanted something more preventative so I didn't look like a raisin in another 10 years so I use Estee Lauder. It's pricey but I am addicted to it!

Hope this helps.Hey everyone I want to know good mac cosmetics skin care line is so give me feedback thank.?
I like Clinique cosmetics.Hey everyone I want to know good mac cosmetics skin care line is so give me feedback thank.?
everyone can use it as long only to add with small quantity
their foundation tends to be heavier coverage. they suggested it was not for me because i tend to break out easily. i love the the rest of their make up, though!
Ive heard good and bad things about Mac, but there is good and bad to everything for every one. May I suggest looking into Mary Kay. We offer a wonderful line of skin care products for all ages. Feel free to check it our yourself.
They use alot of oil in their products, so if you have oily skin, i'd stay away. I also noticed that their products don't cover well. Its not really a good brand for foundation wise, but for colors its amazing and trendy.

When do you know it's time for ';anti-age'; cosmetics and skin care products?

On your 40th birthday (no offense to those 40 years young!)? At the first sign of lines around the eyes/mouth? I'm 25 and not really worried about aging right now, but I was just curious....When do you know it's time for ';anti-age'; cosmetics and skin care products?
The aging process actually start under the skin years before you see it on the surface so you want to be sure you are taking care of your skin and then you don't have to work so hard to fix it later. Always use SPF and oil-free moisturizer.

    I started using Anti-aging at 28.

I am 40 now and People don't believe me.When do you know it's time for ';anti-age'; cosmetics and skin care products?
well i'm 43 years young and actually i kinda wished i had started using anti-aging in my 30's .. it would have prevented more of my wrinkles which are characteristic but ya know who likes them anyway.. he he he
I dont think you have to be a certain age to start using anti-aging products. I'm 22 and I've been using anti-aging products for 6 months now. The sooner you start the better.....

Take a look at the products I use, The Artistry庐 Time Defiance庐 Skin Care Systems are the best out there!
Ive always heard (and followed) the advice that the best time to do it is BEFORE you need it. Like momma always said: ';an ounce of prevention is a pound of cure';. Especially if you live in an area thats is very sunny or high pollution. You don't have to spend a lot of money, a simple moisturizer from the drug store will work, and as you get older you can tailor your skin care regimen to your specific anti-aging needs.

Ladies: what are some of your favorite cosmetics or skin care products?

just outta curiosity as to what works and what some of your favorite beauty products are? :DLadies: what are some of your favorite cosmetics or skin care products?
I must admit that I work for Lancome, so I'm a bit biased, but I their skin care is genuinely good. I love their Hydra Zen moisturiser! I suffer from eczema quite badly and some of their products really helped, that and Elizabeth Arden's 8 Hour Cream, and Eve Lom's cleanser is actually AMAZING!!

Make Up wise, I use lots of different brands. Including Lancome (for mascaras - Hypnose is incredible, foundations), Bobbie Brown (eye shadows + powders), Nars and Prescriptives (blusher), YSL's Nail Varnishes are amazing!!Ladies: what are some of your favorite cosmetics or skin care products?
    MAC Cosmetics.

    I love all their eyeshadows.

for mascara and eyeliner i buy covergirl, loreal, maybelline or max factor.

and NYX Jumbo eyeshadow pencils in milk, cottage cheese and yogurt.

Cetaphil skin cleanser and moisturizing cream.

Also too faced liquid giltter liners. Drunk Dial is amazing.
I've recently fallen in love with Olay for skin care products. I absolutely love the Daily Regenerating Serum and the Microdermabrasion Kit. I have really dry and dull skin, but when I use those it gets all of the dead skin off and moisturizes without leaving me shiny (I had a Ponds moisturizer that left me soooo shiny, I might as well have put Canola on my face). It really just makes me glow and I love that I can get it from a drugstore. Hope that helped! Good luck!
Mary Kay cosmetics all the way!!! I love Mary Kay cosmetics and I also sell the product. I was a big make up snob before and only wore Mac and Este Lauder. After my friend introduced the product to me and informed me how much money I could earn. I was in!! Did you know Mac is owned by Este Lauder? LOL1 anyway, I love my Mary Kay and feel younger each day!
i like cover girl and maybelline make up like mascara and eye shadows. but for foundation i use perscriptives and clinique blush. and i use aveeno skin care products.
    physicians formula concealer

and cover girl exact eyelights mascara is amazing and doesn't clump!

and i always use cherry chapstick haha
Ahava mineral eye cream is awesome!!! Philosophy's cleanser is wonderful, it gets eye make-up off with NO problem at all.

Any recomendations of fine cosmetic skin care lines?

I would like to start using a department store bought skin care line. (Origins, Clinique, etc) I'm wondering which is best. I have mild acne that I want to keep in check and normal skin.Any recomendations of fine cosmetic skin care lines?
i HIGHLY suggest Bare Minerals... it's the greatest make up ever made. i will never ever use anything else. it goes on silky smooth and makes your skin flawless. it actually looks like my skin is airbrushed when i put it on.

you can purchase it at Sephora.com

or go to their site - www.bareescentuals.comAny recomendations of fine cosmetic skin care lines?
Clinique is the best. Bare Minerals is the best makeup for people with mild acne and such. It covers them up without smothering them (since it's all natural) and it will help you from making your acne worse
I love the Clinique Three Step Program. It consists of a soap, in liquid or bar form, a toner, and a lotion. The can customize each step to meet the needs of your skin. It has been a while since I purchased all of them together, but think it is around $35 for the set. They also make travel sizes so you don't have to lug around 3 giant bottles anytime you go away for a weekend, and if you shop during bonus time, you get free stuff!
BARE MINERALS IS LIKE A MIRACLE IN A JAR!

What's the best line of ORGANIC cosmetics or skin care?

As I mention from past, I'm breaking out.. I want to use something thats less chemical.. Because I need some coverage (necessity due to my pimples).. I tried Dermacia, Bare Minerals (still irritates my skin).. So I wanna try legit organic skin care..Thanks!What's the best line of ORGANIC cosmetics or skin care?
Miessence is the world's first certified organic skin care products. They are actually certified FOOD organic, which means, you literally could eat the products and not be poisoned--unless you are actually allergic to whatever's in it. The company is based in Australia, so if you do decide to try these products, there will be an additional shipping and handling fee. The website is www.onewithearth.com. Other organic companies: www.suncoat.com, www.honeybeegardens.com. Aubrey Organics is pretty good and not too expensive. Kiss My Face and Arbonne have too much chemicals in their products that are harmful to the female hormonal system, such as methylparabens, or any type of parabens, though they claim their products to be good for you. What's the best line of ORGANIC cosmetics or skin care?

One of the best companies for natural skincare, haircare and makeup: http://www.dhccare.com I've used their products and they are great! You are smart for not wanting to use lots of chemicals. I think that can ruin your skin in the long run...
    Try www.theorganicmakeupcompany.com
Consult with your Dermatologist.. She/He may be able to recommend you with specific line of organic products.. Or you can ask what products are they using (they might share:p).. Have you notice, Dermatologist have nice skin (so far, I've never seen one with blemishes)..
    Burts Bees.
Well, a lot of people think that if they have sensitive skin...they should use something organic.....well, that's won't neccessarily solve it. Botanic extracts and fruit extracts actually cause more allergies than products that are made from science. Hence you would hardly find organic products that say hypoallergenic to it.

I would suggest you use a product that is labeled allergy tested AND hypoallergenic AND fragrance free.

As to address your sensitivity to breaking out and irritation...you shoud try cetaphil and eucerin and then graduate to diffrent products if your skin can tolerate it.
I don't know but wanted to suggest that you go to Wild Oats and sample all their cosmetics, they carry tons of organic ones.
Go to www.sephora.com and search the word ';organic';. They offer a wide variety of organic and all natural skincare products (but very few organic cosmetics). Skincare is definately a good start though, Good luck!!

*You should search ';organic cosmetics'; on Google, and I'm sure you'll find good stuff.
omgosh, you sound like i used to a few months ago. try Murad acne complex. it's not make-up, it's acne treatment. it's SO great. its kinda costly, but it's SO worth it. it doesn't irritate you skin at all, not like pro active. proactive has benzoyl peroxide which can mess up your skin even more. but Murad Acne complex is WONDERFUL. i started seeing results in only one week, but the most time it would take is a month...that's not that bad. go to murad.com and check out their ACNE COMPLEX i think they might have a special offer on it right now. go ahead give it a try, it's AMAZING! i don't even NEED makeup to cover up my skin anymore.
gurl finally someone i can relate 2 here with organic stuff.....well 1st google organic natura; skincare....also try Juliets organic natural acne kit.i use that..go to liporexin.com........also if u go 2 pricesexposed.com for acne they have top acnee products...also go to www.drhauschka.com.....actually good non chemical skincare isnt hard 2 find....ppl r lazy and settle for chemical grocery store stuff...just look online...i hated bareminerals.......look up non irritatin mineral makeup or go to beleeve.com, sheercover.com, and mineralsecrets.com...better yet google ';mineral makeup'; try not 2 have bismuth stuff in it........im still workin on my skin too! good luck! keep in touchtell me if it works! :)

I would think Yes but it depend on the type of product .. Yes to Lipstick , Chapstick , Creams , Eyeliner etc .. No to Mascara , Lipgloss , certain foundations !! You get the idea :)

Happy Holidays !Is it a good idea to put cosmetics/skin care in the fridge over summer due to the hot weather?
I'm living in a tropical country now so I put all my skincare and for cosmetics, only liquid cosmetics like foundation and lipsticks, in the fridge to preserve the freshness. I read it somewhere in magazines that this will help to preserve freshness and durability. But I don't put other cosmetics as I don't think it helps. Is it a good idea to put cosmetics/skin care in the fridge over summer due to the hot weather?
You should actually keep most of those products in the fridge all year long. It keeps them fresh and protects the active ingredients from breaking down. Just make sure you read the label for certain products to keep at room temperature, and make sure you don't make the fridge too cold.
for some things it is, for example if you use an eye cream or gel, if it is kept in the fridge it takes down the puffiness of your eyebags a bit more. but with other things, like face creams and makeup, just keep them in a cool, dry place.
Some of it. An creams or liquid things you should. They also say that if you put eyeliner in the fridge it will go on smoother :D Don't put mascara in the fridge though because it clumps it up :(

    Hi,

Nivea offers skin care for men and is available in Supermarkets like i.e. Coop and Carrefoure.

Boss Male Skin Care Products are available since Sept. 2006

in all major retal outlets including Areej, Paris Gallery, Debenhams and Faces.

My favourite: Unique St. Andrews Golf Male Skin Care Products,

    Gallery La Fayette, Dubai

If non of these products shoud be satisfeing for you, order online what you were used to back home.

I do not want to give you any advice regarding skin care, coz I am no beautican. Mostly just the middle part of the face (foreheade, nose and chin) is oily. You should get products for ';mixed'; skin. Get a day moisturizer, clean your face twice the day with a cleanser and put on some night cream. Use scrubs 1-2 times the week. Do not overdo it, especially when you get in the sun. It's recomended to use all products from the same brand.

Additional you also can use a mask 1-2 the month. Especially after being in the sun.

Has anyone used Oro Gold Cosmetics line of skin care products?

They are quite pricey, but I saw on a website called Oro Beauty that you can get a set special for $299. I was wondering if anyone knew if they were any good?Has anyone used Oro Gold Cosmetics line of skin care products?
I have just a few months ago purchased these items at some suncapsule site online and paid a lot more. My friends and I love the products.

We got the products cause one of my friends husbands told us Gold slows down collagen depletion and the breakdown of elastin to prevent sagging skin. It stimulates cellular growth of the basal layer to regenerate healthy, firm skin cells and provide a tightening effect.

So we wanted to know if he was full of it and just stopping my friend from going for a face lift. I have to tell you he was right as we all look much younger. Yes....shocking a man was right!

So I do suggest anyone who is really looking for a true wrinkle cream that works , go buy these products they are great. They work and actually last longer then the cheap ones selling online that are all watered down and uselesss. Oh buy the way these products come in the nicest packaging I have ever seen.Makes a great gift .

What are good things or ingriedients to look for when making a puchase on cosmetics or skin care products?

    Labels or ingriedients.

Please do not list the prodcuts. I won't thumb you down v=but I want to learn how to read these things myself. What are good things or ingriedients to look for when making a puchase on cosmetics or skin care products?
You need to avoid these: mineral oil, parabens, sodium laurel sulfate, nothing made out of animal by products, no artificial colors, synthetic fragrances. Alot of creams, even baby creams have this in them. Your best bet is to go to a store (like a health food store or grocery store has a health food and product area that sells organic stuff) You will find Walmarts, Targets, or wherever you shop you will find all these bad ingredients in them....I've already checked. So it will save you a big step plus time. If you are a Bath %26amp; Body shopper all of their lines has the bad stuff in them except for their more expensive lines like Bigelow and maybe one other brand (can't think of it...I rarely go there anymore) Well good luck, I hope this helps. (Sorry for naming some brands)What are good things or ingriedients to look for when making a puchase on cosmetics or skin care products?
    Good/harmless ingredients

Biotin (Vitamin B complex), hydrolized keratin, hydrolized elastin, niacin, folic acid, panthenol (provitamin B5) aloe vera gel, jojoba oil, inositol, barley extract, Sodium myreth sulphate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Citric acid, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate.

Try the Mary Kay skin care line with customized skin care products for acne etc. The best thing to with your skin is always to keep it clean as well as treating breakouts. This helps prevent breakouts and other issues.

There are five steps to basic skin care:

    1. Cleanse

    2. Exfoliate

    3. Tone/Freshen

    4. Moisturize

    5. Protect

The Mary Kay 3 in 1 cleanser can do the first three steps in one. The fifth step is protect. You want to use an oil free foundation which our formulas for dry normal combo and oily skin are all oil free. When your skin is protected with foundation you can wash off the impurities that your skin catches in the air. The foundation catches the irritants and impurities instead of them getting into your pores causing further breakouts. Mary Kay is satisfaction guaranteed. So if you try it and it doesnt work for you you can get different products or your money back.

Also it is so important that when you are using skin care you use one line be it Mary Kay or Avon or a Walmart brand. They are formulated to work with one another. Mixing products not designed to work together can cause reactions in some people. ;)

To even out skin tone you of course need to keep your skin exfoliated but also use a solution like our day and night solution. The day solution has SPF 25 in it and the Night Solution has Vitamin A and E and more in them. These collagen inducing products help to tighten and firm the skin as well as even out tone. You can add in our Microdermabrasion once or twice a week to totally exfoliate and remove dead skin. The second step of our microderm set will return your skin to its proper PH balance so you will not be rough or dry afterwards.

I reccomend using products as follows but all skin care must be customized for an individual.

Timewise 3 in 1 Cleanser (customized for skin type)

Timewise Day Solution (at night use Night Solution)

Timewise Moisturizer (customized for skin type)

    Timewise Firming Eye cream

Additional moisturizers if needed(intense for dry spots etc)

Foundation (customized for skin type and shade)

Color products (use all oil free and non-comedogenic)Who would like to know more about Mary Kay cosmetics and skin care?
sure, what info do you have to share???
I already know their reputation of ';testing'; their products on animals. I don't need to know anything else. I am not going to support a company that abuses animals!
To the person who responded about animal testing:

Mary Kay does not test their products on animals. Mary Kay has actually signed the PETA pledge. In case you do not know, PETA is the group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
